The next item to go into the skillet is the carrots. I slice the carrots, over the skillet, like I am sharpening a pencil with a knife. The thin slivers are perfect bitesize pieces. Then, I slice the smoked sausage into 1/4 inch slices.

The sliced smoked sausage is then arranged in the skillet over the slivered carrots and a can of cut green beans is opened and poured into the skillet over the other ingredients including the liquid content.

The second cabbage is sliced into wedges, like the first, and arranged on top of the other ingredients. One can of sliced stewed tomatoes is opened, the juice poured into the skillet, and the tomatoe slices arranged on top of the cabbage wedges and the stack is complete.
I add 2 cups of chicken broth made with 2 1/2 teaspoons of powdered chicken boullion. I take 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and sprinkle it over the entire skillet and, I am now ready to set the skillet to simmer for 1 hour.
Now, isn't that worth the extra fuss.....just ask the ones who love you !
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the
day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything....to stand !
